Q. Are you a recruitment Agency?
A. No we are a retail job board, we advertise your jobs, with the applications managed directly by you
Q. How much does it cost to use the site and what advertising options are available to me?
A. The cost of advertising on our site is dependent on the package you select. To see what packages are available to you please click here. Alternatively please call us to discuss what advertising package best suits your needs
Q. Are you Broadbean compliant?
A. Yes we are fully Broadbean compliant, and we can also accommodate XML feeds other forms of multi job posting technology
Q. Do I have to post my own jobs?
A. Yes. If you have Broadbean technology you can use this to post your jobs to our site. Alternatively if you can provide your jobs in an XML feed our technical team maybe able to help
Q. Can I advertise on the site without posting jobs?
A. No. You must take out a minimum quota of jobs to advertise on our site
Q. I am a user of the site but I have forgotten my “log in” details
A. If you have misplaced your “log in details” you can request a copy of them by clicking “forgotten password” which is found on the “recruiters” page
Q. I need to increase the quota of my advertising package
A. Please contact us to discuss an alternative package which will better suit your needs
Q. Do you have a searchable CV database?
A. Not at the moment. We plan to launch our searchable CV database this Summer
Q. How do I upload my company logo onto the site?
A. When you take out an advertising package you will be allocated a username and password to access your administration area of our site. Uploading your company logo is very easy and there are step by step instructions on how to do this. In the event you do experience difficulties with this please contact us for further assistance
Q. I am opening a new store and need to recruit lots of staff, is there anything extra you can do to help?
A. Yes. We can offer a variety of different solutions to help. These can include increased advertising on our site in the form of banners, sky scrapers, job of the week, sector sponsorship or key work sponsorship. We can also send out a targeted e mail to the candidates registered on our database which can be broken down by retail sector, salary, location and job title. Please feel free to contact us and we can discuss with you the various options available
Q. How does your internal messaging system work?
A. Very much like Facebook. In your administration area of the site you can choose to use or deactivate this function. What the internal messaging system does allow is for you to communicate through the site to potential candidates that have applied for any of your jobs. Candidates cannot initiate a message, but can respond to a question you have asked them. You might choose to use this to request more information or missing information, you can also manage the interview communication process through this messaging system. Once you receive a message this will be emailed to your nominated email with a link that takes you directly to the message on our site. Job seekers cannot send more than one response per question asked, so don’t worry about being bombarded with questions from candidates regarding their application
Q. I need to post lots of jobs, does this site contain any functionality to cut down on the time it takes to do this?
A. Yes. We are fully Broadbean compliant and can accommodate XML feeds to our site. In addition we have developed a system that will let you save job templates for ease of posting multiple jobs, you can post the same job with changing only the location and salary. This has been developed as in retail a majority of your vacancies will typically only include a few different job titles, especially at store level
Q. Will I be notified when jobs are due to expire?
A. Yes. You can view this from your administration area in the site, or by the statistics email that you can choose to receive daily, weekly or monthly
Q. How can I be sure the site is performing for me?
A. You can choose to receive a daily email which will give you details of your live jobs on the site, the application history per job, how many times your jobs have been viewed, how many jobs you have left to advertise this month and any new messages you have asked to receive from job seekers
Q. What is the duration of a job posting?
A. 28 days
Q. If I use this site, does that mean I can’t use any other retail job boards?
A. Definitely not. The ultimate aim of using this site is to fill your jobs, but we would never ask you to sign an exclusive agreement which meant you couldn’t use other retail job boards. We are aware there are some retail job boards that hide this in their terms and conditions, but we do not in ours. We advise you to use a selection of job boards, as no matter how big the job board, the traffic on the web is so vast that, by signing to any exclusive agreement, you are limiting the amount of job seekers applying for your jobs. You might be given the incentive of a discount if you signed to exclusive terms with a job board, but the truth is, as this limits the number of job seekers applying for your vacancies, you will suffer in other areas which will most likely increase your recruitment costs and ultimately the cost to your business

Q. Why should I register as a candidate with yourretailjobs?
A. We strongly recommend that you register as a candidate and upload a copy of your current CV. You have found yourretailjobs as you are most likely looking for a new job, this will help your search by allowing interested employers to find your details and contact you directly about their jobs. We are currently running a promotion with Jongleurs Comedy Club which will allow you a free ticket, simply by registering your full details with us (terms and conditions apply).
Q. Is yourretailjobs secure and how can I be sure my privacy is protected?
A. yourretailjobs is totally secure, but for peace of mind please view our privacy policy
Q. Do I get emails from yourretailjobs?
A. Yes. You can choose to receive emails from yourretailjobs in the form of communication direct from potential employers, job alerts and other promotional information that we may deem applicable and of interest to you and your job search
Q. How do I apply for a job?
A. Our homepage lets you search for jobs, you can also perform an “advanced search” which will let you be more specific with your search criteria. Remember the broader you are with your search criteria the more jobs will be displayed. If you are looking for a particular job or skill try a “keyword” search which will match your request against all jobs contained on the site. If you want to work for a particular employer, visit the A-Z listings. This contains a list of all of the employers who advertise on yourretailjobs, at the bottom of the page you can then apply for that company’s jobs by category
Q. What happens when I apply for a job?
A. The details you have provided with the application will be sent directly to the employer you have selected
Q. I applied for a job but I have not heard anything is there anything you can do to help?
A. Unfortunately not. We do not manage any applications made on yourretailjobs it is up to the company who you have applied to as to how they manage your application
Q. I have applied for a few jobs is there an area where I can view these and the status of my applications?
A. Yes. When you log into the site you will be able to view all of the applications you have made. These will be grouped together and you can view any notifications or messages sent by employers
Q. Is applying for a job simple on yourretailjobs?
A. Yes. The site allows you to store a number of CV’s and covering letters which means you do not have to rewrite any of these for each application. We have made the application process even quicker by allowing you to select multiple jobs, which can then be stored to “your jobs basket” and you can then apply for all of the jobs in your basket in one go or once you have finished searching for relevant jobs
Q. I have forgotten my “log in” details
A. Don’t worry. Go to the “job seeker” section of the site, and below the “log in” area, select “forgotten password” and you will be emailed a reminder containing your details
Q. Can I edit my details on yourretailjobs or make my profile confidential?
A. Yes. You have full control of the information you provide on the site and this is also editable at any time.
